  Dr. Lorraine Maria Giordano is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Academy of Disaster Medicine and the New York Academy of Medicine. She has over 50 years of experience in Emergency Medicine having practiced clinically in urban, suburban, rural and military environments. She has served as an Emergency Department Chair at three institutions, a Residency Director, the Medical Director of the Emergency Medical Services System of New York City and a Consultant to the New York City Office of Emergency Management.

 Dr. Giordano has lectured throughout the US, the Caribbean and Europe, and is the author of multiple articles related to Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine. She is a past President of the Queens County Medical Society, the first woman Chair of the Board of Trustees, and longtime Delegate to the Medical Society of the State of New York. The American College of Emergency Physicians designated Dr. Giordano a Hero of Emergency Medicine, a peer recognition Award; and the American Medical Association awarded her their prestigious Medal of Valor for Meritorious Service Achievements.

 Now semi-retired, Dr. Giordano is employed as an On Line Medical Control Physician for Fire Department of New York Emergency Medical Services providing continuing Patient Care modalities to Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics in the field. She also serves as the Medical Director of the LaGuardia College of the City University of  New York Prehospital Program, actively involved in the training of future allied health professionals.            

David A. Fishman, MD is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cancer Center Director and Director of Gynecologic Oncology and Vice Chair Obstetrics and Gynecology New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens. Dr. Fishman is an internationally recognized gynecologic oncologist, especially noted for his innovative research on the regulation of ovarian metastasis and in developing new methods for risk assessment and the detection of early stage ovarian carcinoma. He established The National Ovarian Cancer Early Detection Program in 1999 with a grant from the National Cancer Institute and philanthropic support. Dr. Fishman received his medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology at the Yale University School of Medicine. Most recently he was Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Director of Gynecologic Oncology Research within the Cancer Center. Dr. Fishman has authored over 230 scientific papers, abstracts, book chapters and several books on gynecologic malignancies. His research has received awards from the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, Society of Gynecologic Investigation, and the Berlex Foundation.

Penny Stern MD, MPH, FACPM, FACOEM, DiplABLM is the Chief, Preventive & Lifestyle Medicine at the Katz Institute for Women’s Health and the Department of Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology, and Prevention at Northwell Health. Dr. Stern maintains a Lifestyle Medicine practice at the Katz Institute’s Center for Wellness & Integrative Medicine. Dr. Stern is also the Co-Chair of Northwell’s CME/IPCE Committee.  She is a past president of the Faculty Council of the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Deeply involved in public health education, she routinely presents to dozens of community and workplace groups each year through the Katz Institute, as well as at various Northwell sites under the auspices of the Employee Wellness Team. She is also a facilitator and speaker throughout Northwell Health for Unconscious Bias training as part of the Center for Equity of Care and has presented numerous Unconscious Bias workshops.  Dr. Stern earned her MD with special distinction for research in neuropathology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. As part of her residency training in Preventive Medicine at Cornell, she earned her MPH at the Columbia (now Mailman) School of Public Health. She completed an additional residency in Occupational Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Stern maintains appointments at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and at Weill-Cornell and taught medical students at Cornell for over two decades. Dr. Stern is board-certified and is a fellow of both the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.  Dr. Stern is New York State-certified in medical acupuncture.  She is an experienced medical editor and journalist, having worked in television, on-line, and print. In those capacities, she published hundreds of medical news articles for both consumer and professional audiences. Dr. Stern is a Past President of the New York Occupational & Environmental Medicine Association (NYOEMA) and the Queens County Medical Society (QCMS) and holds a number of positions in ACPM, ACOEM, MARCOEM and QCMS. 

 Michael Richter, MD  

 I have been in private practice in Rego Park for the past 31 years, educated in Israel at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and completed a Med/Ped residency at Brookdale Hospital. The path here has been a fascinating journey. Honing the craft of Medicine as it has evolved has made this the most interesting life I could imagine. Adding a board specialty of Addiction Medicine has been especially rewarding, always reminding me that many of us are so fragile. The trust patients have in us has been an honor that every physician should appreciate.
